This post is an open letter to someone who has been a truly great friend of mine even though I haven’t been that great to him/her.
Hey you. Thank you so much for this past year. You have been absolutely a great friend to me and I just can’t find words to describe how much you mean to me. I just want you to know that I’m really touched by everything you do. I think that 2008 is a marked milestone in our relationship. Don’t you think so?
I thank you for being there, listening to all my craps and motivating me and always always supporting all the decisions that I made. I thank you for being so ever understanding .I thank you for telling me about your troubles. You’re not a boring person as you think. Please don’t ever get that idea stuck in your head again. In fact, you’re one of the most interesting people I’ve known literally. I love the fact that we share a passion for music and singing till all the peopleA1 and Mariah Carey and Teo Heng.. And the shared passion for food and more food and weird food, be it Burmese or Indonesian ( smelly Burmese food, nice Burmese cake,tap water and the rude waiter chasing us, stupid coffee desserts,cheesecake, beef horfun, airport Hokkien mee,remember?) . Not forgetting the love of vicariously travelling through the time and space continuum by reading anything and everything under the sun. And of course I won’t forget to mention the passion for movies even though your taste in movies is a little weird, eg.Twilight and that Russell Wong. And of course the sexy South Park.
I’m more than willing if you’re willing to need my listening ear as well. So please feel free to tell me the crappiest or most boring moments of your life. I just can’t get enough. Even though I don’t mean to you as much as you mean to me due to my lousy social life, I treasure the fact that you’ll always be there for me.
Please give me some of your determination, die-hard spirit and diligence.
